JMON Brings the Heat with Summer Track Link Up

Coquitlam, Canada’s JMON(Instagram/@jmonxx) is an emerging artist who is helping to put the Vancouver Hip Hop scene on the map, and with his new single “Link Up” he’s doing a lot to help that cause.

The 20-year-old has been gaining serious traction in recent years with singles like “Shmoke”, “Gwala”, and “M&M’s”, and “Link Up” definitely has all the pieces to keep him on the rise, listen to these tracks, including “Link Up”, and more on JMON’s Spotify below.

“Link Up” is produced by deyjan(Instagram/@deyjanbeats) who does a really good job of using things like a bouncing hi-hat, spacey and echoic keys, and a clap snare to capture the upbeat feel of the song, and the combo of the bassline & 808 pattern keeps the track bumping. JMON also makes sure this track is catchy with his variety of ad-libs, rhythmic flow, and strong lyrics, especially in the chorus where “your shawty want to link up” is sure to get stuck in your head.

One of the best parts about “Link Up” is that it shows great development and variety from JMON as he smoothly transitions from singing to straight bars throughout the song while showing a lot of vocal range and different vocal fills as well.

Overall, JMON has provided a bumpin summer track for the people with “Link Up” and has shown great growth while doing it.
